Hi Grandmommy. How are you doing?
I just made some delicious chocolate chip cookies. It's too bad I'm not in Dallas so you can help me eat them, because I made a whole bunch. Well, I'll just think of you while I'm eating them and that will have to do.
I am so glad it's the weekend! I like school and work at the library, but it's nice to wake up naturally at 10:30 instead of to am alarm clock at 8:00 am.
Did you know that Jacob, John's son, is in Kindergarten this year? He goes to Zilker Elementary, and I found out they have a website! So you can click here and learn a little bit about the school he goes to if you want. I have heard it's the best elementary school in Austin.
I talked to Jacob this week about school and he said he likes it a lot. Tracy, Luke's wife, says that he is writing more easily and that he likes art more than he did before starting school.
That's Jacob, in John's vest from Indian Guides, which he used to do with Granddaddy (Joe). What a cutie, huh?
Also, Sean and I and our co-workers have been working hard to make the website we are building even better, so you can snoop around on it here. Click on K-12 Teachers to see the new stuff.
Well, I am going to go eat some more cookies. I love you very very much.
Happy Birthday Grandmommy! I am sorry I am writing this so late in the day,so you surely won't see it until tomorrow, but hey - I'm a Bibby, so of course I'm a little bit late.. Did you have any birthday cake? Oooh, I love cake.
I went to Austin this weekend and babysat Jacob, John and Tracy's son. I got to take him to Kindergarten on Friday morning and pick him up, and we played for three days. It was so much fun. I was the babysitter while John and Tracy worked at a BIG music festival in Austin and sold thousands of hamburgers, cheese fries, and watermelon to 70,000 hungry people. Jacob was pretty sure that everyone was going to the festival just to eat his Daddy's hamburgers!
Chris, my boyfriend, and his friend Josh went down there too to help at the burger stand, and Sean was there to play in an Ultimate Frisbee tournament, so we got to see each other too.
I saw everyone in the family except you and Dad, and we sure did miss you two.
Now I have to write a short paper about the President's speech last Thursday.
I love you very very much and I wish you a happy day-after-your-birthday!
I feel better!
If you have read the previous post, you know that I have been sick. But today I feel better! Just wanted to let you know.
Love.
well, i'll soon be off to nacogdoches, and i have until 3:00 to finish packing it all up. actually i think i'll be done soon and will go over to see luke, tracy, and jacob before i head out.
good news! austin city limits music festival is one of the biggest events in austin and a huge part of luke's job. well, luke and tracy asked me if i would come in that weekend and babysit jacob! for 3 days. and in return, luke will get me in to the festival the last night to see bob dylan, a singer-songwriter who is amazing. ask dad. chris (see first post for picture) will be coming in to work for luke so i will just hitch a ride with him!
gotta go pack. i love you, gramdmommy and dad.

here is a picture of two men you may know as your son, one rick bibby, and your father.
pretty cute.
yeah, reenie is in austin at my mom's house. i will take a picture of the bag soon and put it up. it is rather cute. why not take one right now, you ask? well, it is all the way downstairs and i am all the way upstairs so it would be impossible for me to gather the energy to do all that so early (11:00) in the morning.
apparently, uncle john and cousin deb and lynn anne may be out there reading this too, so hello all!! nice to virtually talk to you.
let me know how hawaii goes, grandmommy.
love love.
hello again!
reenie and i are hanging out today. i made a bag out of a shirt she had that was too small and it turned out really nicely.
mom is on vacation in colorado (lucky!) and she's coming home tomorrow so we're going to make her a dinner and cocktails.
i hope vickery towers is treating you well.
i love you,
josephine
